Microsoft word 2016 print layout view not working free
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. There appears to be an issue with Word Build Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Please advise. Thanks Ro.
I have the same question I am facing an issue with Print Layout view. The document can be shown in Web layout view , readmode, draft and outline, but not print layout view. Anyone know the reasons? I am using Microsoft Office , windows 10 Home, version OS Build Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. This issue was found recently in one of my templates.
This is a template I used for a long time for years. It consists of a multilevel list, standard header and footer, list of tables and list of figures.
The issue was found yesterday and I spent hours in troubleshooting it. The problem will not come immediately in print layout view, it disappeared after several easy editing jobs has been done in the document. When click on other view other than print layout view , it is able to show.
I tried the same document which consists of this issue in Microsoft Word and It does not have any issue My word version is Microsoft Office Any behavior that appears to violate End user license agreements, including providing product keys or links to pirated software.

Any other inappropriate content or behavior as defined by the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct. Any image, link, or discussion related to child pornography, child nudity, or other child abuse or exploitation. Details required : characters remaining Cancel Submit. There is something very bizarre about this document.
As you say, the View tab shows that it is in Draft view, but Print Layout view can’t be selected. I even tried disabling the option to “Allow opening a document in Draft view” File Options Advanced: General which is ignored in Word , anyway; Word ignores the saved view and opens all documents in Print Layout view.
If I open the document in Word , it opens in Print Layout view and displays correctly corresponding to your screen shot above. And if I open it in Word , it opens in Print Layout view and displays correctly.
So there is clearly something about the document that Word doesn’t like. Perhaps someone can take a look at the XML and sort out what that is. While I had it open in Word , I tried moving the big blue circle from the top of the document to another location and resaved the document. I then resaved it in Word format it still looked okay.
My old Word documents. Images in the text show in Draft view in Compatability Mode but when I resave the document as. Draft view always used to look exactly the same as Print Layout but without the page divisions, headers and footers, but now images vanish and tables get garbled. Is there a way to correct all this, please?
