Even teach Spanish at the early Kindergarten Age. Parent Review 6y ago. Frelinghuysen Middle School. My daughter transferred to FMS at the beginning of 7th grade. We have been nothing but impressed with the quality of academics, the specials offered and administrative team. Thompson, the principal, is fantastic. Very open and friendly with the students and staff, and a forward, innovative thinker.
He spear-headed the Chromebook initiative at FMS, which has put the students of Morris School District significantly ahead of their counterparts when it comes to 21st century learning. Many parents worry about FMS because it is large, but the house system really breaks it down into manageable groups for the kids. The teachers do make a personal connection with the kids, and get to know their strengths and weaknesses.
I have had teachers call me at home when my daughter fell ill, and recommend after school clubs and activities that would suit her shy personality. We have been happy with the quality of academics, especially at the honors level, and there is an amazing selection of after school clubs, sports, music and school play. FMS is a great school with a positive environment for the kids! Hillcrest Elementary School. This is the warmest place for any child to learn.
Parent Review 2y ago. Alexander Hamilton Elementary School. My son is having a wonderful year and loves all of his teachers and friends. Morristown High School. From an academic standpoint just your average school in NJ, most kids go to Rutgers and a lot go to 2 year schools. The bullying is the real problem here, not enough individual attention for students.
Parent Review 1y ago. Sussex Avenue Elementary School. My daughter has enjoyed her almost three years at Sussex. The music program is very strong.
My daughter joined the Band in 4th grade and I know the Orchestra also has a large number of kids. The principal is great – kind, caring and listens to parents, and all the teachers we have had have been very responsive. Parent Review 4y ago. Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Love, love TJ and more importantly so did my son!
The collegiality displayed amongst the staff makes it a warm, friendly and nurturing school where all students are valued and challenged. The entire Morris School District is composed of schools of similar character and the diversity of its students are an added benefit to the “real life” education so important to our society today. Normandy Park School. My son is in kindergarten this year and we have been thrilled with our first year at Normandy.
We love the leadership and the teachers. We love how involved family and parents are with the school. Our son has thrived in the mixed-age environment and we look forward to another 5 years at NPS. Parent Review 3y ago. Woodland Avenue Elementary School. Woodland Elementary truly is a wonderful school! You know there is something special there when your child is excited and happy to get on the school bus every morning! From the teachers, support staff and the incredibly involved principal, very one is at the top of their game, and they make learning fun!
We couldn’t be happier with the education our children are receiving at Woodland! Check out schools near 31 Starlight Dr. What Locals Say about Morristown All. Dog Owners. Trulia User.

Farm to school lessons incorporating STEAM principles put children on a path towards healthier and greener choices. Outdoor classrooms are essential and we are working towards renewing the farm for the reopening of schools and return of student groups. Reaching families too as those newly learned lessons and joy of tastings translate into new practices at home is the magic.
In these times, even more families are cooking together, and the time spent in the kitchen and around the table helps build to create a lifetime of healthier food choices.
In addition, we are excited to see the numbers of families that are growing their own fresh food and making mindful choices that support the environment, with endeavors like composting and planting for pollinators.
